Soft studio
A supported space to explore your own creative path
Soft Gold Studio offers a 10-week Open Studio program designed for NDIS participants who are ready to explore and grow their own creative ideas, whether through jewellery, textiles, painting, sculpture, or mixed media craft.
This unique program provides a flexible, mentored environment where participants bring their own projects and are gently supported by practising artists to develop their ideas through a fine art lens. The focus is on creative exploration, personal growth, and sharing work with others, culminating in a group exhibition at the end of term.
Each 10-week term includes:
– Artist-led mentoring and tuition tailored to individual projects
– A quiet, well-equipped studio space for making and thinking
– Supplementary materials are available in the studio
– A final exhibition to celebrate and display participant work
Program outcomes include:
– Capacity building through long-form creative development
– Increased independence, self-direction, and creative confidence
– Social connection and collaboration with peers
– A stronger sense of identity, inclusion, and community involvement
Participants are encouraged to explore their interests at their own pace while being gently challenged to expand their ideas, techniques, and presentation skills. The open studio model allows for deep focus, meaningful conversation, and a sense of ownership over their creative journey.
We work closely with support coordinators and participants to ensure individual needs and creative goals are supported throughout the program.
The Soft Studio program is a place where participants are encouraged to explore at their own pace, build relationships, and take pride in creating something truly their own.
