In this meditative hand-building class, students will explore the layered beauty of nerikomi, a traditional Japanese technique of folding and combining naturally coloured clays to create intricate patterns and textures. Working with a range of earthy clay tones, participants will build up subtle, landscape-like layers that evoke a sense of timelessness and place. Each set of six coasters becomes a quiet celebration of natural form and personal expression - no two sets the same. The final pieces will be fired and finished, ready to add a warm, artistic touch to your home or table setting. No prior clay experience needed. All materials and firing included. This class is welcoming to all levels and abilities.

Due to the time and resources involved in preparing each session, we are unable to accommodate cancellations, date changes, or transfers for any reason. Class sizes are kept small to ensure a quality experience, and each seat is accounted for in advance. To be fair to all participants, we’re unable to make exceptions.
